The point of the game is to arrange a deck of 52 cards in order, starting from Ace to King.

The game of solitaire "Klondike" involves one deck of cards, which must be arranged into 4 piles (they are called the base or house). Cards can be placed one on top of the other, with a higher rank (a five can be placed on a six), but of a different color (a red card can be placed on a black card).

An ace is placed first in each base, then a two, then a three, and so on until the king. Cards can be taken from the remaining deck, one at a time in the easy difficulty level, and three at a time in the difficult level. Only kings can be placed on free cells (not in the base). The game is considered completed when all the solitaire cards are laid out in the bases.
